As you show your work to the world, do you do it because there’s something you need to reveal to the world, or do you do it because of money, fame, and glory?

I’d be upfront.

I like money. I do because it gives me the freedom to choose the other three (location, time, and intellectual). However, I do not produce work for the sole purpose of earning money.

And you should not too. As Guy Kawasaki wrote in The Art of the Start 2.0:

Trust me, if you make meaning, you’ll probably also make money.
