Before I share what it is, let me tell you my story.

I’ve built quite a reputation as a strategy consultant. For more than a decade, 80% of all new businesses were referrals. I was earning a 6-figure income as a one-person business.

Life was good.

I was able to afford taking one-year off. Just to travel. Visiting 46 cities in 13 countries in the US and Europe with my wife and two young children.

In my pursuit to build a one-person million-dollar business, I started reading about, speaking to, and observing those who have successfully done it.

It was only then did I realize there’s one thing they have which I don’t. It’s not resources. It’s not strategies. It’s not even the network.

The one thing is having a more accurate understanding of reality or a more accurate mental model.

Whether I succeed in building a one-person, $1M, all digital business depends largely on the accuracies of my mental model.
